On July 29, 2023, I had the opportunity to come together with my fellow fiber sister Emma McKee aka “thestitchgawd” to create this interactive community fiber art installation to both celebrate and create peace with my own community of Englewood. I’ve dreamed of doing something like this since I began a career in fiber art design so when @allentheofficial gave me the call, it was honestly a no brainer. Extremely proud of us and my community for rallying together to produce something positive on Chicago’s Southside. 🫶🏽 I’m even more excited to bring more of these installations to our city in the future. 💫🌏
